DONALD PUTMAN, MD FACC
Dr. Putman is a board certified pediatric cardiologist based in Livingston, New Jersey. He completed his pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at NYU Langone Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital. In 1995, Dr. Putman came to New Jersey as a pediatric cardiologist in private practice, and founded Metro Pediatric Cardiology in 2005.
Recognized for delivering exemplary care with an upbeat engaging approach, he offers pediatric cardiology office consultations for fetal echocardiography, congenital heart disease and suspected acquired heart disease in infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
Dr. Putman is on staff at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Clara Mass Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital, and Overlook Hospital.
Dr. Putman is the Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology at St. Barnabas Medical Center and has been the Director of Cardiac Screening for the Matthew J. Morahan III Health Assessment Center since its launch in 2010. The program’s mission is to identify high-risk student athletes. Since its inception, the program has screened nearly 40,000 student athletes in the state of New Jersey. Dr. Putman is also a Clinical Instructor at NYU Langone Medical Center.
He is proud to have been chosen as a New Jersey Top Doc for eleven of the last twelve years and a New Jersey Family’s Favorite Kids’ Doc for the last twelve years.
